NCC

After, the First World War (1914-1919), we come to know that the necessity of Defense training to the youth. On 1st October 1920, the Indian territorial force Act came into force, under this act the University Training Corps (UTC) was raised. On 8th April 1948, the parliament passed the NCC Act and Rules. The National Cadet Corps came into existence on 15th July 1948

Aims of NCC:

• Development of leadership, character comradeship, sprit of sportsmanship and the ideal of service.
• To create a force of disciplined and trained manpower which in a National emergency could be of assistance to the country.
• To provide training for students with a view to developing in them officer-like qualities, thus also enabling them to obtain commission in the Armed Forces.

• Be punctual.
• Work hard and without fuss.
• Make no excuses and tell no lies.

N.C.C wing of our college blazes a trial of glorious history and continues to do the same. It is accredited with higher performance and achievements and it has won laurels at Battalion of 100 cadets every year (Male & Female).

The cadets will have to undergo training as per NCC rules and will have to attend all the parades for a period of 2 years At the end of each year they have to produce a certificate of satisfactory attendance from the NCC authorities NCC is most useful for the students to build their career.

ABOUT US

The S. P. Mandal’s Arts and Commerce College Raibag is established in the year 1974 with an object to develop education in all spheres life, specially providing educational facilities for the deprived sections of society for their progress and upliftment. The college provides education in Arts, Commerce UG Programmes and PG Programmes in Commerce. The college is permanently affiliated to Rani Channamma University Belagavi. The college is recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) under 2(f) & 12(B). This esteem institution is Re-accredited at ‘B’ Grade by NAAC. Since the inception of our college it is proving quality higher education in this rural and backward area.
